Every logistics article on the Bofeng Logistics website is written by staff who handle shipments day to day, and reviewed by an editor before publication. We publish how our content is produced so that readers can see who prepared the information, which sources it relies on, and when it was last verified.

1. Who writes the content

Articles are produced by the Bofeng Logistics content and operations team, whose members come from these roles:

  • Ocean freight operations: booking, cut-off, documentation and arrival handover for FCL, LCL and domestic container shipping, with day-to-day knowledge of sailing patterns and port requirements on the main trade lanes.
  • Air freight operations: booking, palletisation, accompanying documents and destination collection arrangements.
  • Customs and warehousing: export declaration, selection of the customs supervision mode, document checking, and warehouse receiving, loading and securing.
  • Editor: structure, wording and compliance review, including statistical scope, terminology consistency and content boundaries.

2. How content is written and reviewed

  1. Topic selection: based on the questions readers ask most and on real operational situations.
  2. Drafting: written by a colleague in the relevant role, with the sources and applicable conditions noted.
  3. Operations review: a second colleague in the same role checks the process, documents and lead times.
  4. Editorial release: the editor standardises terminology, adds the data sources and checks the article against our content rules.
  5. Periodic review: articles covering pricing mechanisms, regulatory requirements, ports and trade lanes are reviewed at least annually, and the verification date is updated.

3. How we source data

Industry figures in our articles come from sources that the public can check, and are listed at the end of each article:

  • Port and national throughput: Port Cargo and Container Throughput statistics from the Ministry of Transport of China, plus operating data published by the port groups.
  • Global seaborne trade and fleet: UNCTAD Review of Maritime Transport.
  • Container freight indices: CCFI and SCFI, published by the Shanghai Shipping Exchange.
  • Carriers and capacity: carrier announcements, plus fleet statistics published by Alphaliner and Clarksons Research.
  • Standards and regulations: ISO 668 and related international standards, and documents issued by the General Administration of Customs and the maritime authorities.

Statistical scopes and cut-off dates differ between organisations, so the same indicator may not match exactly across sources. Where we quote such figures we state the scope, and they are intended to show trends and orders of magnitude rather than to serve as a basis for a transaction.

4. What our content does not cover

  • We do not publish specific price figures. Rates move with the market, container type, trade lane and surcharges; the applicable charge is the written quotation from the carrier and from us at the time of booking confirmation.
  • Sailing schedules, cut-off times and port operations follow the notices currently issued by the carrier and the terminal.
  • Duties, licences and compliance requirements follow the rules of Customs and the other competent authorities.
  • Case studies and articles do not disclose customer names, shipment details or any confidential commercial information.

5. Corrections and feedback

If you find an error in a figure, a described process or any statement, please write to info@zhbfwl.com or call 130-7567-8958, quoting the article title and the passage concerned. Once verified we correct it promptly and update the date shown at the end of the article.
