4. What is the minimum charge for LCL shipping?
The minimum charge for LCL shipping is typically 1 CBM or 1000 kg, whichever is greater.
5. What costs are included in ocean freight?
Ocean freight costs include: basic ocean freight, BAF, THC, documentation fee, and booking fee. Ask for ALL IN rates for full transparency.
6. How to choose a reliable freight forwarder in China?
Look for NVOCC qualifications, contract rates with multiple carriers, local presence at major ports, global agency network, and one-stop services.
7. Do I need cargo insurance for shipping?
Yes, strongly recommended. Insurance rates are about 0.1-0.3% of cargo value. Without insurance, carrier liability is very limited.
8. What are the advantages of Hong Kong transshipment?
Hong Kong offers duty-free import/export, efficient customs clearance, free foreign exchange, extensive shipping routes, and a robust legal system.
9. How long does export customs clearance take?
