通风集装箱参数表

1. Ventilated Container

Ventilated containers feature two rows of ventilation openings—upper and lower—on the side walls, utilizing natural convection for air circulation to prevent cargo from molding or spontaneous heating.

Suitable Cargo: Coffee beans, cocoa, onions, garlic, grains, tobacco, dried fruits, seeds.

Difference from Dry Van Containers: Theoretically, dry van containers can also carry organic cargo, but the lack of effective ventilation can easily lead to mold. Using a ventilated container significantly reduces the risk of cargo damage and is the preferred solution for organic cargo transport.

2. Bulk Container (Bulktainer)

Bulk containers are designed specifically for transporting bulk solid cargo, with loading hatches on the roof and discharge openings at the door end.

FeatureDescription
Top OpeningSquare loading hatch (approx. 500 × 600 mm) for filling
Bottom / Door OpeningDischarge port or detachable door bars
Internal LinerOptional plastic liner bag (suitable for food-grade bulk cargo)
Suitable CargoGrains, minerals, fertilizers, plastic granules

Bulk Container vs. Dry Van for Bulk Cargo:

  • Bulk Container: No packaging bags needed, direct filling, fast discharge
  • Standard Dry Van: Requires bagging or large liner bags, low discharge efficiency

The market availability of bulk containers is limited; booking 1–2 weeks in advance is required.

Data Note: Ventilated container parameters are cited from ISO 668:2020 standards. Bulk container operations follow general industry practices. Data current as of July 2026.
