Bill of Lading Tracking Guide
How do I track container cargo in transit?
Once you hold a carrier-issued ocean bill of lading (B/L), enter the B/L number (or booking reference) in the carrier's online Track & Trace section to see milestones such as loaded on board, departure, arrival, discharge and gate-out.
What do I need?
Usually the B/L number; some carriers also ask you to select the origin/destination port or enter the SCAC code. SCAC is the Standard Carrier Alpha Code (e.g. MAEU = Maersk, MSCU = MSC, COSU = COSCO) that identifies the carrier.
Nothing found?
The B/L number may not be live yet (e.g. just booked / vessel not departed) — try again later, or contact Bofeng Logistics and we will help track the container for you.
